About
The path to becoming a published writer wasn’t necessarily a direct route for me. Prior to writing, I worked in the business sector for some very well-known manufacturing companies. I started out as a freelance entertainment reviewer for a community website (OCnow.com), and have written for various national and regional publications as a freelance writer. Some of the topics I’ve written about include: music, photography, dating, relationships, travel, eBay and Internet marketing.
While discovering my passion for two-wheel travel and adventure, I’ve written numerous articles related to motorcycling. This led to a four-month assignment in public relations for a motorcycle manufacturer followed by becoming a regular contributor for a motorcycle publication. From 2005 to present, I have evaluated various brands of motorcycles and provided test reviews which have been published in national magazines and online. In 2006, I helped provide content for a startup women’s motorcycle site as the new products editor. In this role, I evaluated various women’s motorcycle gear and provided a first-hand review of the product. Since 2007, I have had the pleasure of working with Kawasaki as editor of Accelerate™ magazine, delivering 16 consecutive print issues prior to taking the magazine online in 2010.
